New! Announcement List

NEW! Now you have a choice:

Discussion List (Reflector) --or-- Announcement List

The HPSDR Discussion List (also known as the "reflector") has served us well, but now we've added an alternate choice, a HPSDR Announcement List. Why? We realize not all those interested in the HPSDR project share the same interest in the daily technical discussions found on the Discussion List -- in fact, if one doesn't have that much technical interest in the details and development of HPSDR boards, it becomes overwhelming to wade through those messages when one only wants to know about when the next module becomes available! This is evidenced by seeing new subscriptions to the HPSDR Discussion List and those same ones unsubscribing after a few weeks.

The new HPSDR Announcement List is now available and in operation as an alternative. It is an "announcement only" list -- one way communication. Subscribers cannot post messages to it. It promises to be relatively low traffic and will contain only messages of general interest relating to board availability, status reports, or other news we feel most HPSDR supporters may be interested in. Any announcements to the HPSDR-announce list will be also sent to the HPSDR Discussion List. All announcements will be approved by the list manager. Subscribing (and unsubscribing) is easy -- use the simple form near to bottom of this page.

Discussion List / Reflector

The HPSDR Discussion List (also known as a "reflector") is the major method of intercommunication between all interested persons of this project. At times the number of messages can get large -- other times it may go a day or two without a message. Anyone can view the message traffic in the list archive online. It can be found at http://lists.hpsdr.org/pipermail/hpsdr-hpsdr.org/

Only list subscribers can post messages. The email posting address is "hpsdr" at "hpsdr" dot "org".

Subscribe to the HPSDR Discussion List by filling out the following form:

Regarding your email address: we strongly suggest you use the same email address here that you usually send email from. Use of an alias or forwarding address here means you will only be able to send messages to the discussion list (reflector) from that address, which is usually what you don't want! Examples of alias/forwarding addresses include arrl.net or special email addresses you install for list reception. Contact list administrator for cases where you might wish to post messages from multiple addresses, for example both your home and work email addresses.

Announcement List

The HPSDR-announce List is an alternative method to keep informed of important announcements and news of the HPSDR project. Message traffic will be minimal and there may be weeks between messages. There is no archive of messages sent on the HPSDR-announce list, although the same announcement will normally also be sent to the HPSDR Discussion List (reflector).

No one except the list manager may post a message to this announcement only list.
